The National Trust's oldest nature reserve, and England's most famous fen. Wicken Fen is one of Europe's most important wetlands; home to over 9000 recorded species including many rare species of plants, birds and dragonflies. AMA provided a cost plan for the construction of a modern look out and bird hide. An innovative design to make the hide look like sheathes of sedge. The logistics of this project are one of the main cost drivers with all materials having to be transported by a low pressure tractor over a kilometer across the fen or by boat.
