Built as an unemployment alleviation project in the 1920's the Venetian Waterways is a huge site running almost a kilometer on the North Parade at Great Yarmouth. The project included the complete renovation of the boating lake and extension of the island plus the complete replanting of the entire site. Particular challenges included the control of cost of the significant concrete repair works to the boating lake and hard landscaping.
